Frequently Asked Questions

Does Geoul Studio take commissions?

Yes. Geoul Studio accepts a limited number of custom commissions. Each piece is individually designed and hand engraved, with the artwork created around the shape, scale, and character of the mirror. If you have an idea in mind—or just a general direction—we can develop it together.

How does the commission process work?

Start by submitting an inquiry with your preferred mirror size, general design direction, budget, and any inspiration you’d like to share. From there, I’ll source a mirror and develop a design for your approval. Once the direction is finalized, a 50% deposit on the custom engraved mirror secures the commission. The remaining balance, along with shipping and packaging if applicable, is due before the finished piece is shipped.

How much does a custom mirror cost?

Pricing varies depending on the size and cost of the mirror, the complexity of the engraving, and the amount of glass the design covers. Smaller, simpler commissions will naturally cost less than large-scale or highly detailed pieces. Submit an inquiry with what you have in mind and I’ll provide a custom quote before any work begins.

How long do commissions take?

Turnaround depends on the size and complexity of the piece, as well as current commission availability. Because every mirror is sourced, designed, and engraved by hand, timelines can vary. If you’re commissioning a piece for a specific date, please include your deadline in your inquiry so I can let you know what’s possible.

Do you ship mirrors?

Yes. I ship commissioned pieces throughout the U.S. and can also ship internationally. Shipping is calculated separately based on the final packaged size, weight, destination, and available carrier options. Because mirrors are fragile, each piece is carefully packaged for transit. Local pickup in Atlanta may also be available depending on the piece.

What if I already have a mirror I want engraved?

Potentially! If you already own a mirror you’d like transformed, include photos, dimensions, and information about the mirror in your inquiry. I can take a look and let you know whether it would be suitable for engraving and how we could approach the design.

What is your return, refund, and shipping damage policy?

Because each piece is handmade and often created specifically for you, all sales are final and I do not accept returns or provide refunds for items that are lost or damaged in transit after they have been accepted by the shipping carrier. I do my very best to package every mirror carefully and securely to help it arrive safely. If something does happen during shipping, please contact me as soon as possible and I’ll help with any available carrier claim or shipping insurance process.

I’d like to start engraving on my own. Where should I start?

I share engraving tutorials, process videos, and tips on my Instagram ↗. You can also find the engraving tools and supplies I use through my Amazon storefront ↗.
